What do Chef's Eat for Dinner?

Maine Food and Lifestyle recently asked us what does Chef Dame eat for dinner.

Short answer; what ever I feed him.

I really adore this question. As the wife of a restaurant chef and former professional chef myself, I find it funny that so many people are fascinated by this question.

After a beautiful and tote filling morning at the Belfast Farmers Market
this week the chef will have:

fiddlehead & leek omelet with olde sow farm bacon

garlicky open faced spinach melts on sourdough with parsnip soup

grilled chicken breast with brown rice, spinach and peanut sauce

arugula salad with poached eggs and bacon

pork bratwurst with home made potato perogis (sand bagged from a winter pasta making day)

shepard's pie with the last of winter larder.

bread and broth by the weeks end.

What are you eating for dinner now that the potatoes & squash are almost used up and the seeds are sprouting for this years bounty?
