Eat Maine Foods!

We have expanded our focus, beyond food

Before marrying, 11 years ago, we both in our separate lives knew a time would come when the only thing we'd have is G-d and ourselves. That REM's 'its the end of the world as we know it" would come, and probably sooner than anyone would think. The "and I feel fine" of it all would depend on a few things. My individual relationship with G-d, our resourcefulness and planning and hopefully, a few trusted folks also passionately committed to surviving.

My husband and I have a greenhouse with a room and loft, recirculation system ready for fish, generator hooked up and running on WVO (waste veggie oil), chickens and garden space. This year as with last year, we will be growing food at our 1 acre and on another acre at a neighbor farm a 5 minutes walk up the road. We operate this as a business. And our business is our life. The business does not include first aid, communications and arms, just food. We continue to inventory the missing elements and those areas are shrinking, though not quickly enough for my peace of mind.

We are looking for a couple of different things:

#1: Hired Hand
#2: Someone(s) who wants to move in and dig in with us. NOW
#3: Future Goal ASAP

#2 &/or #3 from above: We are growing more and more concerned with what the future may bring, and that the future may come sooner than we'll be ready. More folks who want to survive what may be coming who can join their resources and skills with us, is what we are wanting to find.

Please explore the links as it will tell more of what we are about. And if it interests you, by all means, contact us.

Cheers!
-Cynthia

Bills from the Legislature

As per Monique's request for dialog on the forum, I am posting links to 3 bills.  I'll admit to being unclear as to what some of the reporting language means.  OTP means Ought to Pass, ONTP means ought not to pass, AM is amendments, and I am going to venture a guess that Divided Report means it was split down the middle.LD 475…See More
