Greany's Turkey Farm in Mercer is the only humane poultry slaughter house in the state as far as I know. They are licensed and the whole 9 yards. Folks around here take their chickens, ducks, and turkeys there for processing and then sell their meat…
In New Vineyard we are still allowed to raise our own food.
Fresh: milk, bread, eggs, butter, yogurt, apples, cider
Dried: flour, cornmeal, oats, kidney beans, morel mushrooms, tomotoes, herbs, peppers
Canned: pickles, carrots, blackberries, apple sauce, strawberries, apple pie filling, various fruit jams…
