South Portland
What issues are you and/or your group interested or expert in?
farmland protection, organics, health and nutrition, food justice, home gardens, community gardens, hunger and local foods access, CSAs, farmers' markets, local foods marketing and distribution, food coops, GM-free seeds and genetics
Are you a food producer? If so, what types of food do you produce?
berry fruit
If you produce foods of some sort, please choose one of the following:
I produce foods only for my own and my family's consumption
Other info about Me (please mention any food, fishing, agriculture, or community groups you are affiliated with):
We own shares in several CSA producers, and I am on the state Board of the Maine People's Alliance. My wife is seriously beginning to plan a home garden to produce more fruits and veggies. We buy as much food as possible from local growers at the source and/or at farmers' markets. We also donate whenever possible to local food pantries and are concerned with the cost and quality of food for low-income Mainers.
