I just opened a bottle of Fiddler's Reach mead (from Bath) that I got at the Good Tern Co-op in Rockland. Yum! I am looking for a mead recipe. Any advice? My next project is going to be elderberry wine which I understand is a great defense against the flu.

Just brewed two batches last weekend. One was a five gallon batch with the addition of raspberry puree (was meant for a raspberry lambic, but oh well!) and the other was about a gallon and a half of a blueberry ginger mead. I can't WAIT to try them! The blueberry ginger smelled and tasted scrumptious. I'm also trying a new method, based on a friend's instruction. Anybody else have any mead going?

I'm a new beekeeper (2nd yr) and am looking forward to having extra honey this fall to make mead. I have a great book with wonderful sounding recipes. And it certainly is yummy!

I'm using my frozen concord grapes for a dry table wine.

I am a Brit residing in here in Maine and absolutely love mead. I am planning on starting to make my own this fall.
