MNCFC's work is to increase the capacity of local level food systems efforts through collaboration, coordination and resource sharing.
Location: Maine Communities, Statewide
Latest Activity: Jun 19, 2012
The Maine Network of Community Food Councils’ goal is to increase the capacity of individual food system efforts across the state by:
1. Creating a forum for community food efforts to share experiences, resources, information and strategies;
2. Facilitating the development of local Food Policy Councils (FPCs) across the state;
3. Supporting local and regional food systems assessment and planning efforts; and
4. Creating a network of local level stakeholders that can join together to create a powerful voice when advocating for food sovereignty and vibrant food and agriculture systems at the state level.
Our next meeting is May 13, 2011 from 10:30-12:30 at Curtis Memorial Library (before ELFC's meeting). RSVP to Annie Doran (info below).
