I posted an ad here already on this but Thought i should give a little more detail. So here it is. Any help in making this work out for us would be great!
My father and I are looking for a farm to lease. Here is an idea of what we are looking for:
We are looking for a space that we can raise pigs, cows, chickens and other poultry on along with a large garden and field crops. We will be doing so with or organic methods in mind. we also would love it if this property had plenty of maples on it for syrup.
On this property it would be nice for it to have some buildings such as barns and sheds but more importantly is the fact that there needs to be living quarters on the land that could be modified to fit to seperate families into it as my dad and I both want our own space and privacy. We are however willing to share a kitchen and a bath for now if that is the only way to make it work . If this property is a right fit we would like to lease it for at least 2 years then come up with a plan to buy it after those 2 years. We currently both rent seperate housing and pay $600 a month at each so we are really looking to find a place that would lease to us at $1200 or so a month at least until we can build up the farm business.
With that being said we are however open to many options so if these guidelines do not match your property exactly, still please contact us as we really want to get farming but can not do a lot where we currently live.
You can either email me or cantat me by phone at 313-0487
Thanks
Jason
