Eat Maine Foods!

My wife Sheila and I are heading off tomorrow to Lehigh University to do a Community Garden Curriculum Training with Betsy Johnson. Sponsored by a group in Allentown PA and the three of us representing the American Community Garden Association. Over forty are registered and we are excited about this training and its impact on the formation of new and revitalization of older community gardens.

We are contemplating doing a similar training at Wiscasset Adult Ed early next year. Might there be any interest in Maine.

These trainings are the nuts and bolts of putting people and organization together to develop a CG and keeping it together and not about growing fruits and vegetables. Trainings and workshops like these have been done throughout the country by ACGA.

Check the ACGA website for more info. www.communitygarden.org

Del - would love to hear how it went. Would love to sponsor something in the Portland area if/when it works for you.
