This concert series is a production of Free Grange (www.freegrange.org), which organizes and provides music for events which promote local food through fiddle music and community dances.

Free Grange™ products and events are the brainchild of Maine musician and artist Hope Hoffman, who realized how much she depends on and enjoys local farm foods and designed the project to support the success and popularity of fresh, neighborly food sources.

Hoffman says, “Audiences can enjoy a small admission price, small time commitment, and a small room – with a big sound and an abundance of fun! This acoustic, microphone-free venue has a radiant-heated wood floor and cozy post-and-beam beauty to add to atmosphere of the music. Since the venue is just a mile from Brunswick’s Maine Street, the concert can be combined with a day out and about downtown. ”

FMI: Audio samples, driving and parking directions, and online tickets are at www.hopehoffman.org.
For more info call (207) 332-3459, or e-mail Hope Hoffman via www.freegrange.org.

Hope Hoffman's CD and concerts feature her original dance tunes on fiddle and viola, inspired by often-humorous stories of friends' and neighbors' experiences with farm foods. Hoffman's imaginative and narrative approach to composing incorporates traditional Maine dance music, with styles including Scots-Irish, French & Scandinavian.

Free Grange also offers partnerships to organizations supporting local food, to raise funds and increase public awareness of their projects. Partnerships can involve community events such as barn dances and public suppers, retail of Free Grange™ products such as CDs and artwork, and live music at restaurants, house parties and family events.

The website www.freegrange.org provides links to many food and community resources, upcoming events, retailers of Free Grange™ products, quick and easy recipes, a mailing list for Free Grange events, and partnership opportunities.

here are directions!
Directions to HeartSpeak Studio, 56 Elm St. (Route 24), Topsham, Maine: Big old white house on west side of Route 24, about a mile north of downtown Brunswick, and a bit north of the Topsham town offices and the Highlands. Across the street from the Feldspar Mill office complex, which has a black and gold sign. 56 Elm Street has a white sign, on the left side of the road if coming from downtown Brunswick. Drive into the parking lot; entrances are marked. For workshops and performances, the entrance is into the annex, furthest from the road. If that entrance is still snow-covered, go up the ramp on the side of the building into the red door, then down the hallway to the right.
